Calculator for Estimating the Amount of Assistance under Diploma Yi Jin Fee Reimbursement and the Financial Assistance Scheme for Designated Evening Adult Education Courses

This programme enables you to obtain a rough estimate of the amount of financial assistance you might obtain from the financial assistance schemes for Diploma Yi Jin (DYJ) students and students eligible for Financial Assistance Scheme for Designated Evening Adult Education Courses (FAEAEC).

Financial assistance schemes for eligible DYJ students include DYJ Fee Reimbursement, the Student Travel Subsidy (STS) Scheme (applicable to full-time DYJ students only) and the Subsidy Scheme for Internet Access Charges (SIA) (applicable to full-time DYJ students only). Eligible students who study Evening Adult Education Courses in designated centres can apply for FAEAEC to obtain financial assistance. The amount of assistance is calculated from the family income and number of family members you enter below as well as by taking into account the annual tuition fee of DYJ / FAEAEC in the related School Year (if applicable). The amount of financial assistance computed by this programme is for your reference only.

Please refer to the "Guidance Notes on Household Application for Student Financial Assistance Schemes ()" for detailed explanation of the factors affecting the assessment of your financial assistance.

Please note that you must fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria of DYJ tuition fee reimbursement or FAEAEC to obtain the related financial assistance.

Besides, the HKSAR Government may apply any tuition fee reimbursement (including the 30%, 50% or 100% tuition fee reimbursement, if any, as the case may be) granted for the student’s studies of the DYJ / FAEAEC programme to offset any amount payable / repayable by such student under his/her Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS) loan account(s) for the DYJ / FAEAEC programme to the HKSAR Government in accordance with the terms and conditions of the ENLS Loan(s) for the DYJ / FAEAEC programme as stated in the ENLS Application Guidance Notes.

In your formal application, the information provided by you will be vetted and is subject to amendment if the information is found to be incorrect. In addition, if documentary proofs provided are not substantiated and applicants cannot provide justifiable reasons and / or detailed calculation of income, the Student Finance Office (SFO) may need to make adjustments and apply benchmark figures on the basis of statistical information provided by the relevant government departments, such as the Census and Statistics Department, to assess the income of the family. The SFO may also apply projected figures in determining the annual family income where necessary. Your actual assistance amount may therefore vary from the figures computed by this programme. We accept no liability for loss or misrepresentation incurred by use of this programme.
